Effective date: February 1, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of boxels.com and the Boxels web applications, tools, and related services (collectively, the “Services”). By accessing or using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

2) Eligibility and accounts
- You must be able to form a legally binding contract to use the Services.
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for activity under your account.
- If you use the Services for an organization, you represent you have authority to bind that organization.
3) The Services
Boxels provides a growing set of creative web apps (for example: lyric video tools, text-message style animation tools, design tools, and other creator utilities). We may add, remove, or modify features and apps at any time.
4) Subscriptions, billing, and paid features
Some features are free; others require payment. If you purchase a subscription or paid plan:
- Billing: You authorize us (and our payment processor) to charge your payment method for recurring fees and applicable taxes.
- Renewals: Subscriptions renew automatically until canceled, unless stated otherwise at checkout.
- Cancellation: You can cancel at any time. Unless required by law, you won’t receive a refund for unused time.
- Changes: We may change plan features and pricing. If changes affect you, we’ll provide notice where required.
- Non-payment: If payment fails, we may suspend or downgrade access to paid features.
5) User content
A. Ownership
You retain ownership of content you upload, create, or publish through the Services (“User Content”), subject to third-party rights and these Terms.
B. License to Boxels (to operate the Services)
You grant Boxels a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, process, modify (for technical purposes such as formatting/encoding), and display your User Content solely to: (i) provide and maintain the Services and features you request, (ii) improve reliability and performance, (iii) prevent abuse and enforce these Terms.
C. Public sharing
Some features allow you to publish or share projects publicly. If you choose to make User Content public:
- you authorize Boxels to display that content publicly (including making it accessible via a link or public page);
- others may view, share, embed, or link to your public content;
- your public content may be indexed by search engines.
You are responsible for what you publish. Do not publish content you don’t have rights to or information you want kept private.
D. Your responsibilities
- You represent you have the rights needed to upload and share your User Content.
- You agree your User Content will not violate law, infringe rights, or include malware.
6) Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the Services. You must not:
- Break the law or encourage illegal activity.
- Infringe intellectual property, privacy, or other rights.
- Upload malicious code, attempt to hack, scrape, reverse engineer, disrupt, or overload the Services.
- Bypass access controls, security features, or rate limits.
- Use the Services to create or distribute harmful, abusive, exploitative, or deceptive content.
- Resell or provide the Services to others unless allowed in writing.
7) Moderation and takedowns
If you publish content publicly, we may (but are not required to) review, remove, or restrict content that violates these Terms, violates law, or creates risk for Boxels or others. We may suspend accounts associated with repeated violations.
8) Intellectual property
The Services (excluding User Content) including software, design, text, graphics, logos, and trademarks are owned by Boxels or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the Services without permission.
9) AI features (future)
Boxels may introduce AI-assisted tools in the future. If we do, those features may process User Content (for example, text, images, audio, or video) to produce outputs you request. We will update the Terms and Privacy Policy as needed to describe those features, including any limits, usage rules, and data handling choices.
10) Third-party services
The Services may integrate with or link to third-party services (e.g., authentication, payments, analytics, hosting). We do not control third-party services and are not responsible for them. Your use of third-party services is subject to their terms and policies.
11) Termination
- You may stop using the Services at any time.
- We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if needed to protect the Services, users, or third parties.
- Upon termination, your right to use the Services ends. Some provisions (e.g., disclaimers, limitation of liability) survive.
12) Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Services are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. Boxels disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that outputs will be accurate or suitable for your needs.
13) Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Boxels will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenues, data, or goodwill, arising from or related to your use of the Services. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Boxels’s total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid to Boxels for the Services in the 12 months before the event giving rise to liability (or $100 if you have not paid).
14) Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Boxels from and against claims, damages, liabilities, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from your User Content, your use of the Services, or your violation of these Terms.
15) Governing law and venue
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah, without regard to conflict of law principles. You agree that any dispute arising out of or relating to the Services will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Utah County, Utah, and you consent to personal jurisdiction there.
16) Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are material, we’ll post the updated Terms and update the effective date. Your continued use after changes become effective means you accept the updated Terms.
